Listen, I finally took down my Christmas tree. Yes, in March. But honestly? With everything happening in the world, that tree had become more than just decoration. It was a little beacon of joy, a reminder to hold on to what matters. But all good things must be packed away (along with the last few straggler decorations that somehow managed to survive).

Beyond the holiday cleanup, I made space to recharge, and what better way to do that than a well-deserved night out with an incredible group of mom friends? Laughter, singing, and dancing like nobody was watching—it was the perfect way to reset and reenergize.

Now, as Monday rolls in, I’m feeling motivated. But this week is all about balance. My daughter is on spring break, but I can’t afford to lose momentum in my job search. In between carrying on our family tradition of a trip to Disneyland, it’s one of those special moments that remind me to cherish the time spent together while also finding ways to keep up with my goals.

For those of you balancing life, family, and career goals—how do you keep your momentum without burning out? Drop your best tips below—I’d love to hear them! ⬇✨

Regardless, here’s to a productive week full of family, fun, and moving forward!

March is Women’s History Month—a time to celebrate the strength, perseverance, and impact of women throughout history. And let’s be real, resilience is something many of us know all too well.

Two years ago, I found myself laid off and immediately went into full hustle mode—resumes flying, networking on overdrive, applying to anything that didn’t require a forklift certification. But y’all, I hit a wall. I was exhausted. I even landed a role… and then turned it down.

Why? Because after years of constantly running, I needed a reset. I was unsure of where I wanted to go next. So, I did something a little scary: I hit pause.

Instead of jumping into the first job offer that came my way, I focused on feeding my soul. I volunteered, gave back to my community, and recharged. I also took some time to invest in myself—sharpening my skills, exploring new opportunities, and taking a much-needed trip back home to Alabama. Sometimes, a little time away is exactly what you need to remind yourself of what really matters.

Fast forward to finally feeling ready to jump back into the job market. And then… December came. Cue the holiday hiring freeze. I was stuck in a loop of rejection emails, and for the first time ever, I got ghosted by a recruiter. Cold world out here.

Here’s What I’ve Learned:

💡 Take a Pause When You Need It – The right opportunity will come when you’re truly ready.
💡 Rejection Isn’t Personal – It’s about timing and fit, not your talent or worth.
💡 Your Network is Your Superpower – Lean on your circle. Opportunities often come from the least expected places.

Women throughout history have overcome obstacles and shattered barriers by embracing resilience. If you’re navigating a career transition, let’s connect!

Drop your best rejection coping strategies below. We’re all in this together. 💪🏾 #WomensHistoryMonth #CareerResilience
